Pastor Luis Escapalao officiated the baptism. CFC also started collecting their tithes and offerings. They also have temporarily elected their church officers – secretary, treasurer, and auditor.

A post Chi Upsilon Youth Camp was held in San Nicolas. About 60+ youth have attended 18 of which were first timers. This time there were no youth leaders from Negros and Cavite. The youth counselors were from San Nicolas who attended the youth camp last summer. There were decisions of acceptance and rededication from the youth. They were also grouped into smaller teams for the purpose of follow up bible studies and continuous discipleship training in different areas – 2 are being established in Coron town (Sinamay and Bancuang areas) 1 in San Nicolas and 1 for Decabobo youth follow up.

The first joint wedding was held in CFC. Two couples who wanted to be baptized last September were prevented by Pastor Escapalao. Pastor Escapalao had these two couples go through counseling as he explained to them that they need to correct their relationships before God and before men before they can be baptized. So on November 6th, the two couples officially tied the knot. Pastor Escapalao officiated the wedding.

More than 200 attended the Sunday Service. 6 children dedicated to the Lord. After the church worship service in San Nicolas, most of the church went to Decabobo to have a baptismal service. About 14 members professed their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and were baptized. This was the 2nd batch of baptism in Coron Fellowship Center. 1 member that was baptized was from Decabobo outreach.

Mission Team Update From Palawan

July 9th, 2009

Hello everyone,

Greetings from Coron, Palawan.  You must be wondering why it took us so long to give you an update.  But, here we are, just after 3 days of medical/dental and evangelism, still alive and kicking. Praise God!!!!

Tuesday, July 7 – We started at about 9:30 am for registration. People started to pile in and wait for the actual mission to begin at 1pm to give time for the 3 doctors and 2 dentists plus 6 volunteers from IBC to arrive and rest from their trip.  Ate Pat and myself played the role of a nurse in getting their bps, temps and heart rates.  Pastor Omer, together with Grace, Jin-jin, Paul and Christian (New Beginning) went to Cullion to scout for next year’s mission. They were greeted by the mayor and his constituents.  Anyway, the medical/dental mission ended at 5:30pm and about 200 people were seen.

Wednesday, July 8 – We started early at about 8:30 am.  About 200 people again were seen.  Ate Emily came in about 3 hours late because of a delay in her flight due to weather and a NEW HAIRDO.

Thursday, July 9 – We went to Decabobo, which is about 30 minutes from San Nicolas.  The road was very rough and bumpy.  There were about 50 of us including the members of the church here in San Nicolas.  The mission started about 9am and ended at 5:30pm.  We were able to see about 400 patients.

We thank God for the good weather and fresh selections of seafood.  It would rain, but at the same time it would be a refresher for the suffocating heat.

People here are very grateful of what was shared to them. Hope everyone of you could experience it next time.

Tomorrow is our free day and we are going island hopping. We thank you for your prayers and support. There will be more stories and videos when we get home.

To God be the glory!!!!!!

Update for our Palawan Mission

April 27th, 2009

We are asking everyone to please pray for the San Nicolas Youth Camp, starting April 29 to May 1, 2009. We were praying for 40 youth to attend but so far God has tripled it. So please pray for board and lodging for everyone. Pray that God will be glorified, and for the youth to be discipled, and be on fire for God. Pray that God will touch our hearts to help them financially!!!
